Hyonhwasa Seven-storied Pagoda, one of the stone pagoda remains in the DPRK, was built in 1020. This stone Pagoda made up of platform, seven-storied frame and peak is 8.64m high and a side of each frame is 3.9m long.
There are Buddhist images in each of stone frames from first up to seventh story, which are sculptured so elegantly. The Pagoda was built in big size as a whole. With its particulars so delicate, it is well-balanced between the whole and parts.
This remain is one of the precious national heritages which show the pagoda architecture of Korean nation and its development.
