Early in the morning of August 25, Juche 37 (1948) President
The President casted the first historic vote at just six hours and said that it was indeed a significant day to set up the true sovereignty of people in the long history of our nation. He also taught in an excited tone that it was never known in the history of our country that workers and peasants elected their representatives and sent them to the state power organ.
Looking at the voters singing songs and dancing in holiday dresses and going to the polling booths, the President was so pleased and said: Look, how joyful they are. Why they won’t be delighted as they set up a new country, a new government they wanted. The fact that the people became the masters of the country is verified once gain in today’s election.
Officials and members of the election committee were much excited to see the President forgetting his devoted efforts for this day and finding his pleasure in the happy faces of the people.
