Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the then Pyongyang Textile Mill on July 30, Juche 98 (2009).

The Chairman met labor heroes and young innovators in the factory and stressed that it was not until today that our women could win their fames and enhanced the value of their existence as the women in the era of the Workers’ Party and such century-old change in the position and role of our women substantiated that they were the powerful force that dynamically propelled the revolution and construction with strong revolutionary and militant spirit.

Subsequently the Chairman said that he would pose for a photograph as Pyongyang Textile Mill had a lot of female workers and the day was the anniversary of the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality and he would have a photo taken also with all the labor heroes and young innovators he met just before.

This impressive picture was the blessing which the great father gave to the women who boosted the country and propelled the era and revolution with their patriotic minds.
