Why Was He So Glad?

It happened when Chairman Kim Jong Il visited a factory where chandeliers were made.

Showing officials the chandeliers on the assembly line he asked them about their use.

Officials couldn’t give their answers to his sudden question.

With broad smile in his face the Chairman said that farmers would get so delighted if home chandeliers were made and hung up in their modern village houses. And he said that if they used electricity for rice cooking and heating and hung up chandeliers loosely, too, their farm villages would be better to live.

Chandeliers radiating not in magnificent buildings of cities but in houses of farming villages were the main reason why he was so glad.
