He Tasted Noodle in Person

One day in October 2014, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the then military restaurant on the verge of opening.

He inspected some places in the restaurant which was nicely built and flawless to arrange even a state banquet and then asked for noodle, saying that he wanted to see how it tasted on his way there.

Having tasted the simple noodle rolled up as similarly as those usually served for military men, he underscored that if they wanted to make noodles at all, they should think how to make good noodles for service so that military men would never cease coming there to eat good noodles, not to merely have a meal.

Afterwards, he organized even a cookery learning to raise the quality of noodles and tasted noodle again and said that it had really a good taste. And then, saying that perhaps it doesn’t matter if he feels at ease now, he gave them a great belief that he hopes the restaurant to be the one that makes best noodles in Pyongyang.

Then he gave a name “Jangsan Restaurant” to this restaurant in the sense that it should fairly compete with the famous Okryu Restaurant of Pyongyang. Today Jangsan Restaurant has become a favorite restaurant both to the People’s Army servicemen and people under his special and careful love.
