In the evening of June 27 Juche 39(1950) when the combined units of the Korean People’s Army were waiting for the order on general attack to Seoul, they received an unexpected order to stop their attack temporarily.

It was because President Kim Il Sung gave an order to delay till the next day the Seoul Liberation Operation scheduled to begin on the night of June 27, with an aim to protect Seoul citizens and their assets and also the national cultural assets from fierce battles to come soon. 

So, the general attack began at 5 a.m.

This was a great decision to be made only by the President, a peerlessly great man.
