Story of Loving Care in the History of Great War Victory (3) Rest Houses at War Fronts

One day in May Juche 40 (1951) President Kim Il Sung called a commander of the People’s Army and told him that some moon-blind soldiers were coming out in the front units.

The President instructed him that the KPA General Staff should take a prompt measure to recover their health and to improve the supply work for them. And he thought for a while and said that rest houses for soldiers should be set up at the war fronts.

He continued that combatants would be able to restore their energies better if they were sent to the rest houses and served nutritional foods for a few days after hard battles.

Thus, the war front rest houses never to be seen in the war histories of the world came into being.
