On the occasion of the 11th demise anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, the memorial meetings were held in Moscow on December 14 in attendance with Russian government, political parties and organizations such as the State Duma of Russia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, Federal Communist Party, Party for Peace and Unity, All People’s Union Party, Socialist Political Party “Righteous Russia-Patriots-For Truth”, Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Lenin Young Communist League of Russian Federation and Council of Korean War Veterans.

Participants in the meetings paid a silent tribute praying for immortality of Chairman Kim Jong Il at first.

Director of the first Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Comrade Kim Jong Il, a true friend of Russian people and prominent statesman, devoted all his energies for Korean people’s well-being, security of the country and for strengthening the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between Russia and the DPRK. He also mentioned that it would be the most sincere feeling of respect for him to further consolidate the development of relations between two countries which had been achieved by the laborious work of Comrade Kim Jong Il.

Chairwoman of the Party for Peace and Unity stated that Comrade Kim Jong Il is a peerlessly great man recognized and admired not only by herself but all the people of the world as he devoted his all to safeguarding socialism. She also said that Comrade Kim Jong Il would live forever in the hearts of all the people since there is Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Chairman of Russian All People’s Union Party said that Comrade Kim Jong Il achieved tremendous exploits and praised that his greatest exploit was to lead the struggle for defending socialism to victory.   

He resumed that the world keenly realized again that Comrade Kim Jong Il’s politics was great and the WPK’s policy for independence was righteous having witnessed the situation of the DPRK and that the feats of Comrade Kim Jong Il who didn’t waver before the threat and blackmail of imperialists in the hardest time and converted the DPRK into a powerful state would especially be recorded in the history. 

DPRK is the model of independence and the mental mainstay of progressive people. The fact that there is a country like the DPRK on the earth makes all of us happy.

Chairman of Association for the Study of the Juche Idea spoke that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un led the Korean revolution after the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il and accumulated the undying feats before his country and people.
