Highly praising President Kim Il Sung who sincerely helped African countries wage the struggles for independence and building new societies with lofty internationalist obligation, the former president of Madagascar Didier Ratiraka said:

“People in other countries are catching the fishes for us to eat little by little when we are hungry. It means we have to remain dependent upon them. But President Kim Il Sung, our brother, taught us how to catch the fishes. He made us catch the fishes on our own when we are in need of them.”
