August 15 is a historical day when those who had been deprived of sovereignty and national territory by Japanese imperialism, the people of a small country who had ever attempted to appeal national independence by disembowelment in an international conference hall and waged a tearful “compensate-national-bonds” campaign to restore sovereignty by inspiring twenty millions of compatriots achieved their desire of national independence thanks to the anti-Japanese armed struggle led by President Kim Il Sung. 

As there is the history of the heroic struggle waged by the President who led the great anti-Japanese war to victory, the Korean people are fully displaying their dignity as the independent people who freed themselves from colonial slavery and the great people who have an invincible might.
