It was presented to Chairman Kim Jong Il by Bishwanath, ex-president of the International Institute of the Juche Idea in April Juche 101 (2012).

There are English letters “70 Years” which means his 70th birth anniversary, “His Excellency Comrade Kim Jong Il” and the period “1942-2011” which means his revolutionary lifetime on each of metal plates designed by president himself.  

The gift cherishes his boundless feeling of respect for the Chairman who continued his ceaseless field guidance for people’s well-being by frustrating the acts of imperialists to isolate and squeeze the Republic.
