This gift was presented to President Kim Il Sung by the president of the Republic of Peru in January 1986.

The president who had met President Kim Il Sung several times and received valuable teachings from him about the principled issues raised in the building of the party and a new society, highly praised the President as the outstanding leader of world revolution and his benevolent teacher and followed him whole heartedly. 

On the silver tray are portrayed the native home of the President in Mangyongdae and the house where the president of Peruvian Republic was born and the national flags of two countries.
